Catherine Jackson was born in Southern Utah and raised in the rural panhandle of Northern Idaho. She went to the University of Montana in Missoula to earn her undergraduate degree in Archaeology. She worked on excavations as far as the Transylvanian Mountains of Romanian, to the exotic volcano islands of St. Kitts/Nevis. She spent her college summers working archaeology survey for the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. Not content with being caged up writing reports, she applied to the University of Texas in Austin for her M.F.A. in Screenwriting. She earned her degree in 2010 and currently works as a freelance photographer and a producer for a local technology company.
