We went camping at Guadalupe River State Park outside of San Antonio this weekend. Each time we visit a new state park, I realize how little I have seen of Texas and its natural resources. However, each time we go, I also see how spoiled Texans are when it comes to taking care of their parks. People have no respect for keeping their campsites or picnic areas clean, and the people themselves are loud and inconsiderate. Thankfully, Josh and I can usually find a site far from the mad crowd.
This state park offers a gorgeous walk along the river, sporting bone like roots from the tall live oaks and spring-dripped cliffs acting as giant shelves for the fauna. I snapped this photo along river bank, just beyond the rapid river section.
Visit Guadalupe River Texas State Park to learn more about nature tours, tubing expeditions, and scenic camping along this beautiful river.
